I have recently been elected President of the Franco-British Network, and I wanted to write to you directly to mark the occasion and look ahead.
It is a privilege to take on this role. Many of you will know that Roger Haigh, our founder and President, passed away last year. Roger gave everything to this organisation and to the British community in France, and his legacy is something we carry with us every day.
I have been part of the FBN since 2018, serving on the board across a range of roles including marketing and communications, IT systems, customer database, website and social media, and more recently as Acting President. I am deeply committed to the mission Roger started and to the team of volunteers who make the FBN what it is.
I am also pleased to say that I have the full support of our wonderful board members. The FBN is built on teamwork, and I am genuinely indebted to each of them for their energy, commitment and generosity. Everything we achieve, we achieve together.
Equally central to everything we do is the continued commitment of our partners. Our close working relationships with the British Consulate, French authorities, and our trusted network of Service Providers give the FBN a level of institutional insight and practical reach that sets us apart. We are grateful for their ongoing support and proud of the relationships we have built over many years.
The FBN is a not-for-profit association, run entirely on a voluntary basis, covering the whole of France. We are here to help UK nationals move to and live in France, and to support the economic development of the areas in which they reside. We can assist with topics including residency, visas, taxes, healthcare, driving, insurance, setting up a business, inheritance, legal matters, notary services, translations and general administration.
We continue to support UK nationals moving to and living in France, and we have some exciting projects on the horizon. I look forward to sharing more with you very soon.
Finally, and most importantly, thank you to you, our followers. Your trust in the FBN and the value you place in our services is what drives everything we do. We do not take that for granted, and we remain committed to being here for you.
Warm regards,
Simon Crerie
President
