Founded in XIIe century, the castle Castelnaud is a Museum of War in the Middle Ages. Its collections consist of more than 250 pieces of ancient weapons and armor and some beautiful pieces of furniture of the XIVe and XVe centuries.

The visit starts with an outdoor guided tour (in English) with the theme “Evolution of military architecture as a result of advances in siege warfare.” An explanation of the different methods for attacking and defending a castle as well as how the various siege engines work will be provided. This outdoor visit lasts for approximately 45 minutes.

After, we will move to the indoor free discovery of the large collection of arms and armour, a furnished keep, life-sized reconstitution of siege engines as well as a Medieval inspired garden. This part of the visit will also take 45 minutes.
