The Franco-British Network in 2024 and 2025

Simon Crerie, Vice President, Marketing & Communications, The Franco British Network

In 2024, we remained committed to supporting individuals and small businesses either living in or considering relocating to France. Whether it was about matters related to residency, healthcare, taxation, inheritance planning, business operations, driving, or any other French-related concerns, we were there to help.

At the start of 2024, the FBN operated on a paid membership basis. However, after a strategic review of our services and market needs, our Board determined that the time was right for change.

In September 2024, we transitioned to offering our services completely free of charge; relying on external funding and sponsorships to maintain our operations while still providing accurate and valuable information at the core of all our offerings.

After a brief break, we relaunched our monthly newsletter, “Keeping in Touch,” keeping our followers up to date with key changes in France.

Our social events remained popular, attracting both regulars and newcomers, ensuring the gatherings were friendly and fresh. From fun bowling sessions in Bergerac to a pre-Christmas gathering at Le MurMur restaurant in Périgueux, we’ve enjoyed great times together.

Looking ahead to 2025, The Franco-British Network will continue to be run by a devoted group of board members who volunteer their time and expertise and will remain dedicated to supporting individuals and small businesses living in or moving to France.

Our core services will remain throughout 2025: our email helpline Ask FBN will remain free of charge, personalized introductions to our network of service providers, regular social and business events, and our online knowledge base www.franco-british-network.com

We’re excited to announce a busy calendar of social and business events in 2025

  • There will be the launch of a new initiative in February 2025, ChatFBN, which will deliver valuable insights through conversations with specialists.
  • On the agenda for social networking events. will be trips to Bassins des Lumières Bordeaux, a chateaux, a panoramic walk,  wine tour & tasting, summer picnic, and more.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are eager to hear from you, so please feel free to reach out and share your thoughts with us!

Kind Regards

Simon
