The FBN’s Board members were invited to attend the event organised by the British Embassy, which took place in Bordeaux on Friday 22nd of September, in honour of the state visit by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The event, part of the British Government’s ‘GREAT’ campaign, was a Franco- British festival in celebration of the Franco-British friendship including the cultural and culinary pillars of our two countries.
The festival, with its stalls, central stand, and red carpet, provided the opportunity for all to discover a selection of companies whilst listening to music played by British bands. The focus was on Britain and France’s shared personal, political and cultural history, topics close to the convictions of many of us.
The FBN board was deeply touched to receive such an invitation, which follows the recent award of a MBE to the President of the FBN, Roger Haigh, for services to assisting British Businesses and British Nationals in the Dordogne region. We are very appreciative of such a mark of recognition by the British authorities for the work carried out by our association in favour of UK nationals and their families living and working in France.
